Hydrocortison VUAB is indicated in conditions where rapid administration of a corticosteroid is necessary, for example:
short-term treatment of acute problems in primary or secondary adrenal cortex insufficiency
treatment of shock states secondary to adrenal cortex insufficiency or shock states not responding to conventional treatment where adrenal cortex insufficiency may be present
severe bronchospastic conditions, including status asthmaticus
acute allergic conditions, including Quincke’s edema and allergic reactions after drug administration
severe form of erythema multiforme (Stevens-Johnson syndrome)
thyrotoxic crisis
short-term treatment of acute issues in ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease
fulminant forms of systemic lupus erythematosus and other collagen diseases
laryngeal edema (post-radiation or post-intubation)
Composition of the Product
Active ingredient: One injection vial contains hydrocortisone 100 mg in the form of hydrocortisone hydrogen succinate.
Excipients: Sodium dihydrogen phosphate dihydrate; Sodium hydrogen phosphate dodecahydrate
